Where do cracked tanks go to die?
Just made a really nice crack in my refugium I shoulda known, it was 8:30pm and I was all like, oh I'll just change out this leaky fitting and then go read my book for awhile. Well its now 10:30 and I just finally finished. Thank god people are constantly dropping tanks off here and I had a spare.
So do cracked tanks go to the recycle depot or the dump or what? Christy

I've thrown tanks into the landfill but I never really felt good about it. I mean, even if one panel is cracked it's like you're throwing out 4 good pieces.
Maybe scrap glass for baffles or whatever? Course then you end up like me with a basement full of crap you "might" need again one day and you annoy everyone else you live with.

hmm
If its a minor crack, aka it cant hold water but it's still together....numerous reptile owners would jump at the chance for a cheap or free tank.
At least you are recycling it in a way... Right?

Your local Reptile Rescue Foundation could use those, if you have one.
