I don't advise filling it like that Mike. Otherwise stuff's lookin' mighty fine over there so far! Did you at least fire the thing up to see how bright it is?

Lol no man i havent fired it up yet im missing a usb cable to load it i still have to figure out how to cut out thebcenter canopy to have the light on top.

Are you going to mount the light right on top, or are you mounting it inside the canopy and cutting holes for the top of the light to vent it?

My tank is close in dimensions, and I tried my light as close as 5" above the tank rim. If you want an idea of light spread, let me know how high it would be mounted and I can take a picture for you .
