Big bad Maroon fed a Chromis to my BT
I was showing my brother in law the tank last night and all of a sudden he says " that fish put another fish in there" He was pointing at the bubble tip and I thought he was mistaken but I looked again and the BT was completely closed up.
Earlier I noticed there was a Chromis swimming around the top corner of tank so I knew he wasn't feeling so good. I did a head count and yep one short!!! The Maroon clown I have is a healthy 3" and it was a short trip from where the Chromis was to the bubble tip.... Damn I wish I would have seen it...Just my luck I watch the tanks for hours over the years and see nothing like it, he's here for 5 minutes and.......geeezzzzz. Sorry for your loss!
My big clarkii clown has now taken to attacking the mag float when I clean the glass. From one side of the tank to the other and she looks like she's barking at it like a dog.... |

Oh I'm not upset by any stretch other than the fact I didn't see it happen....If the Chromis was that sick or the clown that good at catching him who am I to intervene ... I'm pretty sure he pinned him between the mag float and the side of the tank to get ahold of him..crafty little guy....
I think the clown was a little put off i was feeding the BT some pellets a few minutes before and thought he should bring up his game!! lol He regularly takes flakes and pellets to his BT. Last edited by jorjef; 10-24-2012 at 06:30 PM. |
