Bulkheads
What is a good size bulkhead for a built in overflow, if you are running a Mag12? I was thinking 1.5" but does it have to be bigger?

1.5 " hole or a 1.5 " bulkhead to fit 1.5" PVC
there is a differenace. 1.5 " hole will fit a 3/4" bulkhead and a 1.5 " bulkhead you need a 2-3/8" hole but for plumbing a 1.5 PVC that is plenty for it .

There is an overflow calculator on ReefCentral in the calculator section, it should help you decide which is best suited for your tank. It should be on their home page.

1.5 bulkhead will handle a mag 12 easy.
