Canreef Classified Guidelines

Hello everyone,

As promised, the staff here at Canreef have reviewed the classified rules - specifically the buy & sell limits. We ran these new rules for 5 months, and after discussions with Titus (the forum owner) we have decided the limit rules may be popular with some Vendors, but are not in Canreef member's best interests. Effective immediately, there will no longer be buy & sell limits for hobbyists. We have also gone through the rules, pruned them down, and would like to refer to them as guidelines because who likes rules?

Please do note that commercial sales are still not allowed, and you may find the definition easy to understand.

Good to here. Myself I believe that this make the forum more geared toward a hobbiest community rather than a business opportunity.

What vendor complaints did was drive away their biggest customers from their advertising. Nobody stopped selling frags, they just sold them places where the vendors had no presence. And let's face it, even with the highest volumes we see here, we're still jumping all over new stuff when the vendors post new stock. What I sell from my tank, I replace from March's tank.

Well said Brad !!! It's the circle of life lol. The more frags I sell on here , the more money I spend ordering new stuff from vendors. I'd be confident saying every penny I make selling frags I put back into buying more corals or equipment lol.

I like it the way it is.. I bookmarked the classied section and active threads separately on my phone. What I want will depend on what link I click.

I am glad to see the vendors ads at top of page gone though. Like every other thread it will show in active threads
