Default random pics: gross, bristleworms

background info for the pics:
i've never really cleaned out this one section of my sump, my skimmer was always in there... i just changed to an external skimmer and since i was doing a water change i figured it was time to clean it out... i was grossed out enough by what i found, i figured i'd take some pics and share! lol

May I ask why you turfed them? They are good for a system, just wondering.

i knew this was coming, lol.

they were in a section of my sump that will now be vacuumed regularly, so i wanted to clear them out. basically to reduce the chances of my fingers getting "bristlewormed" when i've got my hands in the sump!

hmmm, it didnt even occur to me to relocate them...
i just instinctively toss them every time i come across one.
FWIW theres thousands more where those came from!
i know they are excellent detrivores, in the past when i've had a fish die, theres never been a carcass left for me to identify.

There are hundreds of them in my tank, I don't care how good they are, but I wish I could catch them like you did. Good thing I had lunch before I saw your pictures ... It really grossed me out.n

Dang! Thems nasty! I, for one, understand why you turfed them. Stupid bristleworm bristles. They're a pain in the arse to remove.

Roll them in batter and then deep fry or 56 seconds at 350f, taste great with a little Chianti.
