Thanks for the reply guys, but I don't think this a ric or a mushroom of any kind. It is very sticky and it stings. The stickiness and stinging suggests to me some type of anenome but we don't know what type.

fishytime.. I wish it was mine unfortunately it belongs to a friend.

Default I may have had one....

To me it looks like a Pink Ricordia Yuma that I once had. They have a very very strong sting!! When I had one in my tank it managed to "cook" the food of my RBTA to the point that the foot looked as pink as cooked shrimp. The RBTA then melted... The bubble tip decided to go for a walk and settled onto the Pink Ricordia Yuma. I came home to find the damage done. I also noticed that anytime anything was even close to it the coral would start to suffer. I got the Ricordia Yuma out of my tank ASAP. They are super nice to look at but just to chemically for my tank..
