Question H&S Skimmer - info or experience?

Looking for a skimmer for my tank and am looking into one of the H&S skimmers...anyone with any experience with them??? Any information would be appreciated...seems that all that is talked about much is Euroreef, ASM, and Remora's....Thanks!!

i have a H&S 200-1260. i love it, very quiet, although mine is an external skimmer i have it in my sump which i'm glad i do because the collection cup leaks at the seal to the base, and the 'T' fitting at the output leaks as well. i found it a little tricky to tweak when initially setting it up but these are minor. overall it rocks, highly recommend.

niloc16, its not supposed to leak at the base of the collection cup, you should have contact the LFS you bought it from at the moment to change it or something. did you PVC glue the T fitting?

I am having 2xA200-2x1260 for my next tank. I started with one on my 180G tank and loved it!!! No leaking, nothing for me, working great with excellent result!

Here's some pictures of my skimmer when i first got it:

Only thing i wish they could have is a valve to empty the collection cup which you have to DIY if you want it

Sarah I have never used an H&S skimmer (although I am going to be getting one soon ) from what I have read they are supposed to be a very good skimmer.
There seems to be 3 skimmers that are consistently named as top quality, well made, and very efficient (also $$). They are Bubble King, Deltec and H&S.

H&S skimmers rock period. They use the same pumps as Deltec, they are better built than Deltec (use better acrylic) and are cheaper than Deltec. Weird though, in Europe, H&S is more expensive there and I think it's because Deltec USA jacks up the prices here

If you get one, you'll love it. I agree with Ruth on the top 3 tier skimmers.
