Default Field Trial of Zeovit System

So after being offered a great deal on a Zeovit system from my LFS, I decided to give it a shot. I'll post weekly updates on the progress.

So far, it was easy to set up, I've started my reactor on a 3 hour cycle and restricted flow to about 90GPH using 1.0L of media.
I will be using the required components as well as Coral Vitalizer and Amino Acids.

Wish me luck.

If you're going to do the 3-on/3-off thing, double check that your rocks are under the waterline in the off cycle. I found I didn't have a high enough water level in my sump and thus had to go with a reduced flowrate that was on all the time.

Tony, my sump is about 17" deep, lots of coverage. The output of the reactor is about half submerged.

Finally got around to taking a pic with my crappy camera (my good one is still in the store!)

Here is a FTS at the beginning of Zeo (and sort of the beginning of adding corals).

Yay! Its about time we got to see a pic. Love the aquascaping. Jealous of the sand. The little blue tree under the orange wrasse needs to part with a branch and come live at my house

is that a "floating" thermometer next to the brown spotted clam?

You're welcome to a blue branch. As for the glass, that isn't a thermometer, it's a frag of my beer mug (Fine, I'll move the thermometer to the sump!)
