Default Need a bit of help............ christening gift

Hey Everyone,

I've been invited to a christening.......... I've never been to one........ any ideas on approriate gifts to give?

some sort of keep sake, like a porcelain figurine (like a precious moments one), or a fancy children's book.

how about
A small gold cross?
A commemorative box with an engraved plaque (XXX's Christening) to put the gown, etc into...
A picture frame.


Actually I have no idea.. but if the family in question is chinese.. money in a red envelope never goes wrong...

I'm going to need ideas, too, come to think of it. My new granddaughter will be Christened sometime soon...

actaully I was thinking of a nice photo album or a scrap book.

I think we are going to set up a Canada Savings Bond account for my Rebecca, and keep it going until she's ready for university or college or whatever.
