Chemistry question

Okay, the tank has been up and running for about three months now. I must admit, I've been pretty remiss in testing the tank regularly, mainly because of my very low bioload (two clowns in a 50G). ...

Interesting...They just turned down seaweed flakes. Now, keep in mind this isn't a "flake" food, it's just dried seaweed.

Methinks I'll go buy a pack of frozen mysis shrimp later on.

*grin* Haven't had to yet.

The tank's been running all of two weeks (never cycled due to well aged live rock from another tank). Alk, Salinity, Ph, NO3, N04 and Ammonia are all tested every 2-3...

Hmm. Not quite sure what's happening here.

The entire contents of my tank (37G with 20G sump, and 250W MH) consists of 10 blue leg hermits and 3 bits of Anthelia. One clump of Anthelia was...

What IS this?

I got all my LR from a very well established tank about a week ago. Now that I look at it more closely, I'm seeing all these small red mini-coral like things on them. The guy didn't keep any...

I only have to throttle my mag 9.5 back a bit, and it doesn't really gurgle at all. I may have to change my plumbing in the...

Thanks SO much for that info! I'm assuming that since I've got about a teaspoon of silicone in the tank, it's not going to do much to raise the Ph of a 50 gallon total system by much.

I...

Okay...with the MAG throttled back to about half, it's pretty quiet. I could live with this, but part of me feels I've wasted all that money on a Mag 9.5, when I'm not using all this power.
