Another DIY stand

I needed a stand for my new 36 gal...So I built it to my specs..
Gave myself lots of room underneath for skimmer (20 gal sump going in)
Doors going on next.....

I'm no engineer,but I think the design in the vid would work fine..only thing I would change is the supports(as mentioned above) I'd use L type corners with 2 x 6 instead of posts.

+1 on that....You should put the cubes in a dish...

+1 on that....You should put the cubes in a dish of water and let them melt...Then just pour in a bit at a time ,till its gone or they aren't interested.

Oil and water when mixed up and airated in your skimmer would have produced a milky looking foam. That's probably what happened.

I say go with the 50 gal and 20 gal sump for your first kick at the can. :)
It'll be a much cheaper setup and you can always do the big tank later if you decide.

I've used Nox Ick with Malachite Green .Wrks awsome.
1 drop per gal of water in fresh..Raise the temp and leave the lights off for 2 or 3 days.Worked everytime for me.Getting hard to find though.
