I know that with some fish such as yellow tangs, high levels of amonia or even just stress in general can cause red markings on various parts of the fish. In yellow tangs they appear on the head, but...

My understanding is that they are like tangs, as long a they don't look the same you should be safe. A flame and a bi-color are quite different in appearance so they should be ok IMO.

My tank evaporates a couple of gallons a day as well, about 8-9 gallons per week. So I adjusted the baffels in my sump so that I don't have to fill it up as...

How does that work? If the fans are cooling the water then there should be less evaporation, no?

200 ppm is an unfamiliar measurement for me (as most of us). Does your test have a variety of measurement options? We usually use Meq/L, which might equivilate to ppm some how. But the best used...

That other thread which delt with the "reef gods" sure did a number on me. I remember reading it saying to myself... "self, I haven't had any issues with my tank for a while". Then BAM! my skimmer...
