That is 432 watts, which is enough for easy SPS like caps and digi's. You want to make sure to have enough bulbs to achieve some good intensity. The other question is, do you want your corals to grow...

Oops, I forgot to mention that I'm using the OP Pro salt as well.

When mixing a 5 gallon bucket I found that the usual 5 scoops (2.5 cups) gave me a salinity reading of 33ppt as opposed to 31ppt...

Ocean Pure salt

Has anyone tried Ocean Pure salt?

I've heard that its really good so I thought I'd try some. Seems to disolve quite fast, and a bit less is needed to achieve the salinity required.

I think the bigger questions would be who's in charge of moderating and judging the contest.

Contest rules and themes could be different every month, so a voting poll could be used to see what...

So Gold's water tested the same as mine. At least mine is in the correct range, but now I need to find an accurate test solution to calibrate my probe.

Nope, threw it out a long time ago. I brought it with me so I'm going to test Gold's water to compare to mine, if they let me.

Got my new PH probe yesterday. Calibrated it with my friend's coralife solution 7.0 and 10.0. It still read 7.45! Something must be wrong with the solution because my corals aren't showing the stress...

Are we talking brittle stars or Bristle stars? I've never seen the little brittle stars on the sand, so I'm assuming you meant bristle stars. I'm not an expert but I think they should be fine without...
