Keep me posted. My nitrates are now 2-5ppm and 0.00 on phosphate using the Hanna. If this comes back strong I am starting to think it may be indestructible.

Check out gmac Reef sump design. I believe this is what your are looking for by way of slots for the filter pads. I currently run two filter pads instead of socks and they work fine.
