Thank you to everyone!!
After testing the water out the TDS was still in excess of 150 ( Grrrr!!) found the lines from the output of the ro filter were reversed and the waste water was going through...

auto stop valve
one more request could somebody please post a picture or diagram of the valve with the 2 inlets and 2 outputs. When I reversed the input lines it seems to be functioning properly. will need to wait...
