i moved my reef setup (plus several freshwater tanks) across town last winter and probably spent more time planning the move than actually moving

it was pretty successful losing only a coral...

anyway he had a pallet of that living sand for around $25 a bag which AI sold for just under twice that...

i had a bad aptasia outbreak a while ago (six or so months) that was well handled by peppermint shrimp
but
there was (is) one bad boy the shrimp didn't touch - at the time he was about an inch...

i've never seen this addressed but i have a dsb in my 33 gallon tank that is about 5 inches level deep ( or at least it used to be )

but the burrowing, digging, landscaping of brittlestars, crabs...

my own experience with a bad aptasia outbreak was the kalk injection didn't work - made it spread i think - first time no luck with peppermint shrimp then learned about californian versus carribean...
