shoaling is definitely what my chalks do with some moderate schooling but only for like a tight corner and then it's back to shoaling...
Good point on the difference between these 2 behaviors.

The offshoot of this is that if you DO use bioballs and are very good at cleaning them, you can actually really reduce potential nitrates, almost like a human powered skimmer.

Just put the plumbing in in the first place and the pump I am upgrading from is so far inferior to the quiet one 6000 that I think I'll still come out on top.

I am about to pick up a quietone 6000 that has a 1' outlet but my in situ plumbing is 3/4'...
Is this doable or no no?
what effects will this have?
