Looking to add to my vertex Ro/di 100 gpd with booster pump system. My inlet tds is 900 to over a 1000 soft well water with a newer membrane it gets it down to 60 now being over a year old it's 240...

I agree with masonjames I did the bleach thing...
I agree with masonjames I did the bleach thing and with the muratic acid just get some rubber gloves so you can take the rock out to have a look at it to decide for your self if you acid washed it...

I ordered from Eli as well it is really nice...
I ordered from Eli as well it is really nice rock. What I did was a bleach bath over night then a acid bath for a hour and a half 74 lbs of pukani. Then I put it in the tank with 64 lbs of live Fiji ...

I'm running my ecotechs at 8 1/2 " the manual says to mount them at I think 9 " above water level. My tank is also 30" deep and they seem to light it up rather well. I'm also using the short rail kit...

+3 I skimmed from start don't be surprises if your skimmer goes nuts foaming out the top. I let mine foam for about a week out the top then raised it up about a 1 1/2" it was still pulling junk out...
