For starters, PAR (Photosynthetically active radiation) has nothing to do with "bulb output". PAR is a range of light, exists between 400 & 700 nanometers, light used by photo synthetic organisms......

Its great lighting up the arches at the local mcdonalds, or highbay lighting in a warehouse... Does little good for this application, money better spent elsewhere... Like coral or fish ;)

I'm amazed at how tanks I've seen over the years and even in discussions in pm where people don't have a GFCI on there tanks. Some people don't think they need it becuase their tank x amount of feet...

Not sure what you mean by oem only. Lumateks are available in 120 and 240. Highhorse ballasts are not oem and also available in both voltages.

The GE bulbs are rated at 25,000 hours lifespan. and are 95% efficient at 40% of there lifespan.

I run my lamps 10 hours a day, which works...
