I would think that the co2 would rise to the top...

I would think that the co2 would rise to the top of the canister and create an ''air lock'' so inless you had your output on the top or recirced the co2 your pump might essentially be running ''...

I use 100 micron and change them once a week.Seems to work good for me.I think how much you feed your fish and the amount of fish you have are a factor as well as how much gunk your skimmer pulls out.

I have noticed a definate improvement in my corals ,mostly in the sps ,since I started using it 5 days ago but how long do people leave it in for ? The container says to replace it after 4-6 months.

I think $ 800 is a very good price for a complete set up including HQI lighting and skimmer. In this hobby it is easy to spend thousands. Looking forward to seeing pics.

I'm sure all will work out with the lights just frustrating. I really like the look of your system . It has that stealth European/Japanese look . If I could afford those lights ,I'd buy them too.
