I've been hearing some good feedback on KZ cyanoclean lately. It does seem to take 7 or 8 weeks to work but you aren't killing all sorts of other beneficial bacteria in the tank etc.

With DC pumps, the pumps themselves are not required to be UL or CE certified as they run on low voltage that can't or won't kill you. It's the power supplies that run on 120V that need to be tested...

The Vertex dosers have been fine since their firmware update a while back. And they have a two year warranty as well :) Also, they are the easiest doser to program I have ever used.
