Hey Rob, here is my new tank which is lit by 1 14k 250 watt Arc. Its pretty blue with the blue back ground but thats what I like. You don't need actinics with it thats for sure....

Stay away from RIO pumps. I used a RIO 20hf for my return and it seized after only a year. Garbage! I use Mag drive pumps for my skimmer and return now and maxi jet 1200s in tank for flow. Best bang...

Calcium is a tad on the high side but that will correct naturally.
KH of 9.3 equals 2.65 Meq/L Alkalinity, dead on.

Does your sump have baffles or live rock in it? These will cut down on micro bubbles, you might also consider adding a course types of filter foam around your return pump to further eliminate...

Try the hot water method, but use a turkey baster. You don't have to inject the lil' buggers if you scorch the whole thing. Hole or no hole the turkey baster method will mely it because of the higher...

They said in the instructions about once a month for a few minutes depending on use. I would just call them up or email them with this issue, they might have better advice.

If I had a nano tank I'd use one of those air driven skimmers by "Lee" I think. They work suprisingly well for what they are. The only down fall is that they are in-tank skimmers, but you could cover...

Sounds like that would work if the tang was small, as stated above. A word of caution about the manderine. Two manderines will compete for the same food, make sure you have a good pod population...
