250w hqi as my clams at the bottom of the 24" depth are not as bright also I have so many sps now that I have to start putting them on the bottom

Kennedy 2x400 over a 90g is overkill!!

The t5 tek fixture over my 120 with a depth of 24" is good and will not overheat in the summer also very energy saving.

If you are planning a 90g then the t5 is great however I wouldn't keep acro sp right on the bottom as they will not get enough light same with clams on the bottom they will fade abit. If you do an sps set up with clams and t5 the furthest you want to go is 14in anything after should be lps and softies or monti species.

I'm hijacking like mad, sorry.

Thanks a lot for the input.
I may stick to 2 250 HQI's that I have now, but I DO have a couple 400 ballasts/bulbs around and heat is no issue for me as this system is going in my basement and I do have a 1/4hp chiller.

These tek fixtures, especially the new blue ones, look so nice and the thought of having the ability to control your lights color to the extent these allow you to is pretty appealing and they seem to be the best reviewed T5 fixture out there, especially for the $$$.
