polyp bailout. Do a search in Eric Borneman's forum on RC. He has written a paper about this.

makes sense. it had been knocked down and damaged several months ago. it had recouped and now it is slowly started to "bailout"

sometimes you can actually keep the polyp and grow a new coral from it!

Chad, I'd have to search, same as you. He wrote the paper about a year ago. He emailed me a copy, but I'm not sure where it is. Just search his forum and it should come up.

I did, but nothing.. no matter, I have his book.. shows this exact thing. Some sort of reproduction deal. I was just curious on reading more on it. Chad |

Chad, I sent Eric a note asking if he published the paper. I'll let you know what he says. I'll also check my email when I get home to see if I can find his note from last year.
