Default Why does my fat clown hate me?

When i stick my hand anywhere in the tank it attacks me!!
but the new tang and wrasse swim all around the fatty and she doesnt bother them.

Mine does the exact thing.
I think mines just looking for food tho.
He doesn't attack any of the other fish or corals. Just my hand.

Mines not paired if that matters.

i dont think mines looking for food, and does a full speed peck at my hand. the first time i was confused what happened.

wow, first the thread title made be break out laughing and my boss came over wondering what i was doing. than i giggled at your guys replies.

clowns are a bit territorial. worse if they are hosting a anemone.

just stay away from her cup cakes and your ok

It sounds pretty common. My female tomato clown has always been very territorial of its anemone. Usually I'm the only one that gets bit but I have seen it take chunks out of the fins of a few fish in the past that ventured too close.

My clown of 4yrs still attacks me every chance he gets. He's smart about it too, he watches my eyes and when he sees me not looking at him then he attacks! As soon as my hand is out of the water he then proceeds to beg for food from me.
