Let there be a refugium!!!!
Got some cheato from a fellow reefer, threw some rock in and got a 100w equivalent LED par 38 bulb (5000k) for some light. I really want a mandarin goby so hoping for a healthy pod population. I went to Pisces and got their three pack of copepods rotifers and phyto. They say you're supposed to replenish it every 2-3 weeks. The bags they give you are about 2 cups big and you can see the little buggers swimming around. Also picked up some clean up crew since I really don't have any. So to start I got 5 bumblebees, 5 astrea, 5 cerith and 1 emerald crab. I might get two more emeralds since they are really cool to watch. Already making tracks

Day one of toadstool recovery
Just got a toadstool coral from a fellow reefer that wasn't doing well in his tank. Hoping it can recover in mine and colour up. I could barely get a toothpick into the side so I could put an elastic band around it to try and get it to attach to the rock. I'll leave like that for about a week and see if it attaches.

Day 3,
Looks like it's trying to move off the toothpick a bit and go down the rock. Hopefully attaching itself. Definitely getting more open. Where it's been closed for a long time is discoloured and lacking polyps. The clown is hosting the torch and eyeballing the new coral.
