I hear ya. I've come very very close to shutting down my tank a few times over the past few years. But eventually I either realize that I would end up missing it and start over again or I just get too lazy and do nothing about it. I guess either way it ends up being a win for the tank. My tank has definitely had its ups and downs and ups and downs and downs and downs and ups. At the end of the day it ends up being cheaper just to keep it going in some capacity (FOWLR), rather than shutting it down and then recurring the cost of starting up all over again, I guess.
