Good and bad experiences buying stuff from Reefcentral
I have seen lots of good deals sales at reefcentral forum, but I am a bit of skeptical about their honesty and shipping. Do they scam people from Canada ? Do you need to pay any extra dutie fees when it crosses the border ? I have been in contact to TSB shipping in the US, but if I pay by Paypal instead of credit card, my item can not be shipped to TSB's address, it has to go to my address to get the refund if anything goes wrong with it. Please tell me about your experiences dealing with the people there.

Every person is gonna be different. Use common sense and you'll be fine. Don't buy from someone who has less than 100 posts

I personally prefer having things shipped collect via Can Post that way no one gets ripped off. Never bought anything off RC though.

I have purchased a lot of used equipment off of ReefCentral with good results over the years. I get it all shipped to The Letter Carrier in Point Roberts. I have never been charged duty or tax and I declare it all. Don't think of bringing corals across the line because the penalties are very, very high.
Check sellers on the bad actors list and look up previous posts and sales for an idea of their history. Use PayPal and never send money as a "gift". Register a US address in PayPal a one of your shipping locations and you'll have no problem. |

Thanks guys, I think I will follow your advice. Pay by Paypal but not "gift", register US address with Paypal, not dealing with someone who has less than 100 posts and shipping by Can Post.
