I would suggest you turn them down to 30% straight across the board and ramp up by 5% every couple of weeks. They look alot dimmer than they really are and you'll fry your corals. I've had mine since sept and highest they go is 78% and will be staying like that. Theres some really good info on RC with settings and times. I have 4 that are 12" above waterline on a 144G

I just installed my AI Sol Whites the other day and this is my first attempt. I'm sure it will go through many iterations, changes and variations. But here is what I am trying right now;

6:30am Wh-45% / Bl-55% ~45 min ramp up
7:30am Wh-55% / Bl-40% ~45 min ramp up
9:30am Wh-65% / Bl-55% ~30 min ramp up
4:00pm Wh-60% / Bl-50% ~120 min ramp down
7:00pm Wh-35% / Bl-55% ~60 min ramp down
8:30pm Wh-10% / Bl-32% ~5 min ramp down
9:00pm Wh-0% / Bl-3% ~5 min ramp down

Even as I right this I see a few changes I want to make.

Anybody have thunderstorms turned on? Are there any benefits to this? or does only scare the crap out of the livestock?

This is how I run my lights.

10AM B/RB 10% W 0%
11AM ALL 30%
12PM ALL 60%
1PM ALL 100%
5PM ALL 100%
6PM ALL 70%
7PM ALL 50%
8PM ALL 35%
9PM B/RB 25% W10%
11PM B/RB 20% W0%
12AM RB 5% REST 0%

Moon phase on, clouds on, no thunderstorm or lightning as I feel they scared the crap out of my fishes.

I have 5 SOL Blues over a 230 here at the store, mainly SPS dominated tank, and they are 18 inches over the top, and I have them run whites at 40% and blues at 100% for 9 hours a day with a 90 minute ramp time, I do this because i like the deeper blue look, but ive had them run at 70% whites and 100% blues for the same time period for a few months and they didnt burn anything.

Mostly sps, some lps, and 4 good size clams. I had them for 4 month. I also did a par reading on my tank if you are interested, just check out my build thread.

Hey that's sweet the PAR reading. I have been extremely happy with my AI just wondering if I should run them different. I'm not full sps and notice my tube anenome close up when the white goes above 50. The blues it's ok with.

2 AI sol blues on a 75g

Lighting schedule.

3pm W8 B15 RB15 90 min ramp up sunrise
5pm W15 B35 RB35 90 min ramp up morning
7pm W35 B80 RB70 90 min ramp up midday
11pm W20 B45 RB40 90 min ramp down evening
1am W8 RB25 90 min ramp down sunset
3am to 3pm W2 B4 RB4 90 min ramp down moonlights

Run all 3 led except sunset where I only run W and RB to geve a more purplish sunset.

Also 1 thunderstorm per day for now with 20% chance and lunar on for moonlights.

Very happy with colour and combo now and the LEDs are 10" off water. Most of the sps are 4-6" below water....
