That Bonsai tank on RC is a gorgeous tank... Forgot about it until you linked to it... If that's your inspiration, I say go for it, even if it is a bit more work..

If you would have told me two years ago that I was gonna spend the better part of an entire w/e doing my aquascaping, I would have said you are crazy.....but thats what I did....it was a total PITA and caused me all sorts of frustration but I am soooo happy I spent the time to do it the way I wanted.

Did the rock work on May 22. I ended up not doing the bonsai but I think I'm satisfied with how it turned out.

I transferred everything over that would fit(have to sell a few things) but in the process I lost 3 of the 5 Threadfin Cardinals which I'm pretty sad about. I transferred 3 of them out of the tank they were in one night and the last 2 the following day. The ones I had done first went in to shock(right after being caught and in the bucket, didn't even make it to the tank) and died almost instantly, it was really weird.........very sensitive fish. The 2 I transferred the following day went smoothly.

FTS May 26

I'm pretty impressed with the fishneedit light except the bulb that came with it really sucks so I ordered a Phoenix 14K from Ocean Aquatics which should be here soon.

Was at one of the LFS yesterday and had to come home with this beauty a Pink Cynaria.

Anyone else have a cube of similar size? I'm wondering what you're using for flow? I like the Vortech but I'm not so sure it's the right pump for this tank. I'm thinking two Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6055 would be the better choice or adding another vortech as a slave pump. The only part I wouldn't like about adding another vortech is that I would have to pull my tank out from the wall to fit the motor on the back and right now my tank sits flush with the dividing wall it's on. I think the vortech would be great if I could put it in the center on the back wall but there's zero room for a dry box in the overflow.

The Phoenix bulb arrived today. I have to say thanks to Ocean Aquatics for such great service. It was shipped out same day, arrived super fast and was packaged so well.
I'm so impressed at the drastic improvement the bulb has made on the tank, wow!

Lol, I thought it might be. It's my first clam so I wasn't positive but yes, I bought it as a Maxima. I'm glad though if it is a crocea because originally that's what I wanted since they stay smaller.
