Default Tank Question

Hey Kevin, thanks for the zoos! While I was there I forgot to ask you if you built the 5 foot tank (the empty one at the front of the store)?

Just curious, as I had some questions on the design.

BTW, the zoos are open and are gorgeous!

They are nice Zoa's and I am glad that they are already doing great.

The tank at the front of the store is a customer's that they just purchased from a local LFS and NO I did not build it. I drilled an emergency hole in the overflow so they could set up a Herbie overflow system. It is used glass with the bottom piece of glass an old glass shower door (LOL wow I can't believe it). I do not use used glass on my tanks like old shower doors, old windows, etc now an old windshield might be cool LOL.

LOL...I might have to try that with some of my old cars.

Actually, you answered my question, I was wondering why the bottom was frosted (some kind of new reefkeeping technique?)

I did notice that the frosted part of the shower door was to the inside of the tank. That was not the brightest as it's that spray on frosted film and now I am concerned that it might break down with salt water and possibly be toxic to a reef setup. HMMM will have to look up the ingredients of that spray when I go to Rona. They might have to try and scrape it off before they use it (WOW what a pain). You definitely get what you pay for in this hobby.
