Default Question about replacing RO membrane

(.. I haven't actually replaced a RO membrane yet )

So if I have my replacement membrane ... do I want to get it wet before putting it in? Or just put in and go? Do I want to discard the first little bit of water that comes out of it? Or is it good to go, right from the beginning?

Just put the membrane in and you're good to go. Definatly discard the first little bit of water. Some brands have a certain ammount you need to flush before use in aquariums or as drinking water but go with 2 hours as reccomended by Aqua-Safe RO units.
