What kind of snail is this?

He's a hitchhiker. Never seen 'em before, just appeared on the glass this evening. Ugly little bastard, too.

cowries are neat snails, he will retract his 'ugly' covering if disturbed and
expose his nice shiny shell. i have a gold ring hitcher ive had for years

One of my favorite snails..seriously I've only lost a couple in years. They hide under rocks and stuff and come out when the lights are out at night.
