Default Need help from someone with good math

After reading Blinks's poll about sand or no sand, I have decided to put the sand back into my reef tank. I want no more than 1" of sugar sand, just enough to cover the bare bottom look and to have a wrasse fish in the future. Live sand is expensive, I don't want to spend more money than I need to, but I can not figure out how much sand I need for my 48" long with 18" width. Can someone with good math tell me how many lbs of sand do I need for my tank ?
Thanks for your help.

Volume = 48 * 18 *1
= 864 Cubic inchs

Wet sand has an approx density of 0.0694 lbs/in3 (Note this is just a google on wet sand density, I have no Idea what the actual caribsea live sand density would be but I could guess it would be in this ballpark)

Which makes approx 60 lbs.

But if you looking to save money why buy live sand... just buy sand.... it will become "live" in time.

That was a quick help thanks guys. I guess I will go get 60lbs of sand. Live sand is over $100 for 60 lbs, if dry sand is not too much the difference in price at J&L, I had just better get live sand without going through the hassle of rinsing.
