I read somewhere that they prefer to be on a hard surface. I put mine in my rock work but he was just as happy in the sand

what luck for me... i just found a small fairly flat price of rock (half a clam shell actually). I buried that in the sand and have placed my clam on top (in the concave contour of the half shell)... should that work??

Default Go

just remember that if you place it on a rock, and it attaches, don't pull it away from the rock
