Default Scolymia's mouth open?

I currently have a doughnut coral that I got a few days ago.
I was just wondering are their mouths supposed to be open or closed?
If its open what is it an indication of?

Have any photos for us? Could be a feeding response or it could also be dieing, a quick photo would really help.

We have a scolymia(donut coral), this is feeding time, we feed ours mysis, brine, reef roids, phyto.
once it ate a stomatella snail and later spit out the shell
