Default Starry's 180 Starfire

Had my Concepts tank/stand/sump delivered today.
Wasn't as bad to get in the house as I had thought it would be. (thanx guys!) Will post up some pix as soon as I can. (new house no net access yet)

Build is gonna be in spurts as I have to fit everything in with moving and my week off, plan it to have it cycled and the livestock from my 70 in Kelowna in it by end of April.

Equipment so far consists of:
Vertex IN 280 skimmer
36" 6 lamp tek (other 1 is in Kelowna)
2x mp40's + 4 mj 1200's
BRS 75gpd RO/DI
Quiet one 6000 return
Various plumbing parts.

Tank is 180 gallon Starfire with 36" external overflow centered on the back.Drilled for Beananimal overflow. 75 gallon sump (skimmer JUST fits)

Here we are carrying in the stand, had to take the door off for this one. Thanks again guys!

Custom 75g sump.

The tank sitting on the floor after being moved in, the suction cups made things alot easier.

'nother angle

Putting the 3/4" ply on the stand.

36" overflow!

The big lift.

All together with the skimmer and pump in!

As you can see the skimmer JUST fit, diagonaly. My bad.

Tight squeeze to get the top off as well, but it fits!

Bean animal (kinda) overflow plumbing.

Lil' more plumbing.

Nother shot of the stand.

Moved the tank back against the wall, and guess what.

PERFECT!

And then there was water!

So, lets see 75 gpd ro/di...roughly 230 gallons of space to fill...hmm this is gonna take awhile. lol.
Updates as they happen, Stay tuned.

Tank is about 1/2 full. picked up a 150 gallon pd water saver that seems to be speeding things up. also picked up 50 of lr soaking in a tub. one piece weighs 22lbs! few pieces of branch thrown into the mix as well. will be waiting and asembling my dry rock tomorrow, then back up north.
