Default My 29 Gallon Frankencube build

I started my Nano back up after having it shut down for about a year. First thing I decided was I wanted a deeper sand bed this time, to achieve this (4 inches) I had to add 60 pounds of reef sand. So I let the sand and SW cycle for about three weeks. Week number four brought me in touch with an old school mate who is a member on this site and I haven't seen in 20 years. He was selling some of his stuff and happened to have forty pounds of LR for sale. So the wife and I loaded up the car and headed to Moosejaw with pails in tow. We left with the rock still emersed in SW for the trip back home to avoid die off and I must say its the most established live rock I have ever bought (Thanks again Jason). Red and Yellow algae, Polyps, mushrooms, corals and hundreds of mini brittle stars. After another two weeks I have introduced a pair of Snowflake Clowns and a gold torch coral and nine snails.
More pics to follow.
Oh I almost forgot
I removed the bio balls and floor plates from the back, I run an InTank Media Basket, InTank Fishsaver, Tunze 9002 Nanoskimmer, a couple of powerheads for movement and yes I'm currently putting together an instand Sump.
Feel free to add suggestions, comments or just stop in and say Hi
- Chad

Its still a work in progress lol ( as is everyones). Will post some new pics next week. My newest addition (Mystery Wrasse) adds soooo much color and movement to the tank.
