Default Anenome issues

I have had this anenome for a couple of years now. It's stomach has protruded for about 5 months, and then two months ago this slimy mucous came out. It is still alive, still very sticky, eats (but does close up), and hasn't moved.

We were overfeeding it, both my husband and myself feed it...
We haven't fed it for months now, just eats what ever it catches in the water. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be up with it?

I would just let it be and don't feed it , anemones can last years after a good feeding. funny it doesn't look that bad on the full tank pic.

'Nems do wierd things all the time. Splitting half way and then stopping, regenerating from a tissue chunk, looking all wierd with their guts hanging out... the list goes on and on. Remember that these guys have an oral cavity, and what goes in must come back out somehow, either by waste into the water or by ejection from the cavity... maybe he ejected something and couldn't pull his stomach back in?
