Lol, it's a bit long, but does the trick at keeping vibrations down.

I've always loved the look of a floating aquascape and minimal rock in the tank, so I figured I'd go for that look this time around.
Found a couple pics online for reference. Not my photos, authors unknown.

First step was to locate some branch, which luckily enough, one of the boys in our local group had some surplus of. Thanks Joe Reefaddict!

Went to J&L, bought some Stax and a few extra fingers and came up with this.

Not 100% satisfied, but I'm sure it'll look better with some coral on it.

Finished it off with some Florida Crushed Coral, as I just don't like the look of bare bottom, sorry Rich.
The more I look at the tank, the more I think I should paint the back.

Top down's lookin pretty good.

Pretty much just waiting for some more cycle to happen then on to the lights.

Was referring to it's non Royal Exclusiv redness. It's length looks spot on!

Nice idea with the floating branch. Will take some time for that to pay off but I really enjoy the appearance of those tanks as well. There was a 'bonsai' titled thread on RC that did a really nice job as well but that was more of a vertical structure in a cube tank.

Edit: found it! https://www.reefcentral.com/forums/s....php?t=1288059

You planning to put a Canadian flag in the pole there?

By the time his water level hits that height for the emergency overflow to kick in it will already be way to late.

Although I appreciate the aesthetics of a minimalist look, myself, I always put my fish first and I’m not sure they’d be happy with this kind of structure. Before adding a fish I always think, “where can he sleep?“ as I think it’s important for each to have a home. I feel happy seeing them all snug in their spots after lights out. Also l like to collect anything that catches my eye so I don’t have the discipline for something like this lol.

On the other hand, it looks cool and it will sure be easy to keep detritus from settling.
