Default Question to Calgarian

I'm heading to Calgary 1st week of AUG for 5 days and love to go to Concept Aquariums for myself. Any other good LFS to visit?
And also my wife and kids like to visit zoo and calaway park. Any other place to have fun?
I google it few place we are interested in but I would like to ask you what is recommend.
Your info is very helpful for my family.
Thanks

There's pieces (kids love this pet store because of all the interactions they can have with various animals).
Then there's golds aquarium, ocean creation and reef wonderland.
I would vote for telus spark centre. Heard that its a great place for kids.

Thanks. Do you mean Pisces Pet Emporium? We all love pet stores, we'll try there and of course aquarium stores.
Telus Spark is also one of my list.
Does anyone know about Bow Habitat Station and Heritage Park Historical Villege?

Yap the Emporium (sorry for the spelling; I always struggle with that one ). I am not sure about those two so someone else can chime in

WAIS is a great store to look at nice coral - but if the family wants to see bunnies and birds you could try big Als. If they like horses check out spruce meadows, it's a fabulous way to spend a day.

Another cool place is Devonian gardens in the downtown core shopping mall. Just got re-done too. Just reading off the website it's basically a 1 hectare indoor greenhouse with massive koi ponds and turtles. Playgrounds for kids as well

Heritage park is fun, but if your kids are younger they might get bored. There are some rides, an old fashioned candy shop, and the best bakery ever, but a lot of it is historical buildings (houses, old printing press, gasoline alley with old cars) and such.

Telus science centre :-)

If you're adventurous you can make a day trip of the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller. Dinosaurs !!

Thanks everyone for all your information. Sounds like our 4.5 days will be super busy. I have to pick few fish stores. If I spent all day just for fish stores then my wife kill me and cost me more for wife and kids.
We decide to go heritage park and telus sparks for sure. If we can do horse riding then spruce meadow sounds nice. I'm pretty sure we will spend a time in down town for shopping, so Devonian Garden is another place to visit.
If I go to LFS from airport area whats the best way to go stores. Try to minimize a time.
Thanks again

If your up by the airport... Pieces Pet emporium & Big Als are commercial... I like Big Als better - the staff are more knowledgable than the high school kids at Pieces...

If your looking for what are the Calgary Reefer stops... (Not commercial) there is:
Concept Aquariums - Stock levels depend on their last order...
Golds - Very competitive prices and stock is also order dependent.
Reef Wonderland - haven't been there in a while.
Wais - good selection of coral with moderate to high prices... Fish selection isn't bad but for some reason unless your there right after he gets the livestock order I'd skip it...
Ocean Creation - fair prices with hit and miss coral selection and an average supply of healthy fish.
