I had that happen to my maryjane zoanthids, I let it go thought it would be ok well I was wrong. They wouldnt open the next day and the algea spred over them so I diped them etc, I saved a portion of them but I lost 4-5 polyps I recomend you keep an eye on them and do a dip.

Do a quick 3-4 min luke warm fresh water dip followed by a thorough inspection. If there is algae growing on the zoa itself it will help you use your finger and gently rub it off. Take a turkey baster and blow it off and then place it in an area with moderate flow.

What are your ALK and Ca levels right now, any recent changes?

Your perfectly fine without a ph test on your freshwater, make sure its declorinated and near the same temp of your tank
Tap water is on average 7.0 in my city btw.

Zoa colonies in the wild are exposed to extreme changes in water quality due to incoming tides and daily rainfall into thier pools of water near the surface.

While the zoa will survive a small treatment in extreme conditions , nothing else will.
