Default Battery backup?

Was looking to get a decent power bar for the tank to better deal with the current birds-nest of cords and saw this battery backup at BestBuy. Up to 4h of backup for 6 outlets. Other 6 are just normal. Worth it?

Thanks for posting that. I have always thought I should get something if the power goes out but have never got around to it. I have been lucky and haven't had the power go out in the 4 or so years I have had my tank. Don't know if that is a good price or not, but at least now I know where to get it, if the power goes!

hmm I doubt very much you would get 4 hours. Depends what you try and run.
For the same price you can probably pick up an inverter and a spare car battery

I just bought one as well, different one however. Definitely worth it to have something small like a single small low wattage powerhead, that agitates the surface, plugged into the battery portion. Too many items will drain the battery much faster. Its nice to have the peace of mind when youre at work.

Not everyone can ditch work the moment the power goes out to plug their tank into their car....

I was notified that on both Monday and Tuesday our power will be out from 9 - 5 each day. Would one of these units keep my tank going? I just have a 30 gal cube so maybe my mp10 and a heater? Thanks!

I had a 30 gal cube and my battery backup kept my tank going for about 3 hours (with the lights on) my guess would bet that you'd get closer to 6 hrs with just the pump and heater running.

I'm also selling my battery backup if you'd like to buy it for your outage, would be willing to sell for $100:
