Reminds me of my situation many many years ago when I drove a Dodge Omni. I too had to crawl through the trunk.

If I was your car this morning in Edmonton, I wouldn't be driving you anywhere either.
Morning temp at the airport: -42 C
With windchill: -54 C

Obscenities are called for, don't worry about it!

I just wish that when it's -25 outside, that they could maybe think about turning off the air conditioning in my office. We have teams of people dreaming up new and inventive ways to make it unpleasant at work. As Red Forman says, that's why it's called "work" and not "happy happy fun play time"!

For 5 minutes this morning the A/C was off, and I thought finally, the last 4-5 weeks of wearing a toque and mitts in my office had come to an end. But alas, they realized their error and turned the A/C back on. Thank God! I thought I might have to take off my jacket!!

What also gets me is the number of accidents when it's cold. All I hear on the radio "Roads shut down! Police everwhere! This road closed! That road closed! Oh no! The carnage! The humanity!!!" Do people forget that it's winter? That bad weather means bad driving conditions? Oh no. We live in CANADA. It never snows HERE. ooooops BANG!! Duh how did I miss that there was ice and snow on the road??

[/rant] ....

Simon, I feel your pain. And then some....

PS. My car likes to open the windows at random intervals. It's German.. I think it's somehow a feature. Oh well.

Brrrrrrrr.......

They're made to do that for us North Americans so that we can chuck our beer cans out the window every now and then.

Tony, I had an Olds once that used to do the window thing. The problem was broken wires in the wiring harness that runs between the car body and the door.
