Yes, I have talked to people with fish much older than mine, but I am happy to have my oldest at seven years (YT and Trigger) with some others following in right behind.

I never seem to keep a coral in place long enough to have it for years....

I have a few fish that were the first S/W purchases that i made about 8 or 9 years ago. My first purchases were Blue Damsels @ $3.00 each to aid in the cycling of my first setup.

You know it is a murphy's law that the cheapest will last the most expensive will die.

I have had my tanks set up for a year and a half and under and have continued to aquire fish over this time. I have lost 2 firefish (jumpers) 3 gobies (dottyback) and one Moorish Idol (killed by Yellow Tang). Most of my fish in my 230g have been there for over a year and like Tom I still have the first 2 fish that I got - blue devil damsel and tomato clown.

That's funny...the first fish I ever purchased was a yellow tail blue damsel, which I put in the tank to ensure that it was safe to begin adding more. That was nearly 13 years ago..and he is still there.
