Here's mine. Incidentally I'm likely going to put this system up for sale in the near future.

What sized tank are you aquascaping, because there are things you can do in a large tank that would look like crap in a small tank and vice versa.

For me there were several reasons:

1) The dimensions of the smaller tank required a fairly central structure and in order to optimize placement for corals the "Bonsai" formation was an easy option.

2) The "Bonsai" formation allows for good water flow throughout and around the entire structure and minimizes contact with the sand leaving most of it exposed.

3) I was getting bored with other more traditional structures and this allowed me to try something different.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.

Default minimalist versus traditional stuff your tank full approach

gone down that path b/4 was influenced by takashi amano's minimalist display approach. did feel a sense of self satisfaction once i thought i had harmoniously balanced the few essential materials even though wife kept asking how soon i'll begin stuffing tank. in the end my innate desire to lay hands on every corals, rocks, plants won out and am glad to say i've not looked back since.
