no the tank doesnt have a cover and i keep the tank toped up all the time when i walk by i think it may have been so hi due to me keeping the house at 75 for the weekend i dont know...

Have you tried covering it? If so does your temp go up??

If he is keeping it topped up consistently as to not fluctuate the salinity than he probably doesnt need a cover.

my temp is not a problem at all but it does seem like a lot of water but im keeping ontop of it i do plan doing a DYI auto top off drip system.

Well have been monitering my temps and now that I have raised the water level in the rear of the tank i hae stabled out at 82.1 lights off to 83.4 with lights on for 10ish hours give or take. I still dont trust the light 100% so i make sure im home when i turn it on dont want there to be any fires... (99.9% that nothing can or will happen but just not that full level of trust)
