I started with 14 and ended up with 5.....the problem isnt with the chromis....the problem is with what we call a school.....we add 10 or 20 or 30 and call it a school, when in the wild these fish school by the hundreds....what we have is a small group...... expect some losses

I had 8 and they been fine until they start laying eggs non stop and chase/bite anyone come near the eggs.Never again.

I'll check those links out, and keep hunting around. I'm happy with my current t5s but I am getting the upgrade itch. And would like to know my options when the time comes.

impossible to keep more than one in my 33 gallon. Ive always assumed "this tank isnt big enough for the two of us" syndrome. Too bad because i really liked the school affect.

Yes it seems they tend to kill each other off. I had 4 in a 200g tank and they became 2 in a couple of weeks . Interestingly my 4 yellow tail damsels seem to get along fine. I heard the orange lined cardinal is a good schooler.
