Very nice, I know that stand

It also looks like that might not be the proper place for it, get it inside and get it wet

simple sump design just like the one on the 300.

Plumbing time

After I did the plumbing I sat back and thought to myself why is the drain on the inner part of the tank where its block and not the other side where its wide open....fak Here we go round 2...lol I like to measure once and cut twice I guess. on my defence, it was hella late at night and I wasn't thinking straight.

Final version

Removed the bottom plywood that came with the tank (thanks Denny) I am going barebottom so I wanted to put a white vinyl wrap on the bottom instead of ugly plywood. Went to HD and Rona for vinyl but no one had a clue what I was asking. After a round of aimless searching I found a roll of 12 dollars window vinyl that worked perfect for the job. YES!!!

Here is a picture of the tank on its side.

One evening while we were out I had a 30-40 gallons spill with the 300 so I decided to do something in case this happens again. I need the sump area to have the ability to hold 5-10 gallons of water. I was contemplating between fibre glassing, vinyl enclosure, water proof paint than I came across a product called liquid rubber. Its none-toxic and aquarium safe, people use it to seal plywood tanks and the best part is it's made in Canada!

Sold at home hardware store and its reasonable pricing. 16-24 per pint for a 24x24 foot print.

Full shot

I was thinking about using these velocity stackers for the return but upon closer inspection I think they will limit flow rate so opted not to go with them.
